Christ, like any before, was able to be both the kingly Son of David and the High Priest for all people. Jesus Christ is superior to all other prophets and all other claims to truth. The message includes a reference to Malchizedek, a figure from the Old Testament story of Abraham. The priesthood of Melchizedek is greater than the priesthood of Aaron or the other Levitical priests. Jesus' work as our High Priest is superior.
